28th Amendment

28th Amendment had me reading a little and putting it down, then picking it up again because I had to come to the realization that war really begins in the mind. Stefan Vučak once again has written a book that goes straight to the mind, leaving the heart in second place. The fascination for me is how men of power gear up to kill and call it war. His knowledge and ability to not only entertain, but also teach readers the intrinsic details of real-life experiences are to be commended, especially in this case, war, where he reveals how methodical and premeditated it is, and most importantly, it begins in the mind.

Stefan Vučak literally gives everyday people an opportunity to enter the minds of men of power as they use war as a devise for power with no concern for human life. The writing style and word choices he uses to write such a dark experience of war came with a light of silent truths we deny in humanity’s tendency to be barbaric. Even though the dark side of mankind was justifiably revealed, there were glimpses of hope that men in power can have a heart and enough logic to construct a means to bring hope for humanity. 28th Amendment will blow your mind and then pet you on the head because it also reminds you this has always been humanity, and value your life while you can. Games of war will always be.
